As I mentioned in this post, we went out for a weekend in ‘Haspengouw’ more specifically in Borgloon. We had the opportunity to stay in a very nice,  still active farm from which a part is renovated into very cosy guest room and a restaurant were you can try out delicious  local meals.

The farm is build with the specific characteristics of a ‘square farm’ (in dutch: vierkantshoeve) which is typical for the region. This building style gives more space for storage and gives easy access to frequently used places via its square courtyard.

The good dog was/is really a part of the idyllic picture the farm formed;

 Always hanging around at the courtyard, always begging for attention…

After all, we enjoyed his presence
and moreover our stay in this very nice place!
